The Directorate General of Taxation (DGI) of Uruguay has published Resolution 707/2020 of 20 April 2020. The resolution extends deadline for annual tax payment and returns due to COVID-19 pandemic. This includes that taxpayers, except those managed by the Large Taxpayers Division, are allowed to pay annual corporate income tax (IRAE), wealth tax (IP), and capital duty (ICOSA) based on the following schedules according to their gross income in indexed units (UI) for the year:

For the fiscal year ending 31 December 2019Up to UI 2 millionIn 2 equal installments beginning in May 2020.
For the fiscal year ending 31 December 2019UI 2 million up to 6 million Entire balance in May 2020.
For the fiscal year ending 31 December 2019Over UI 6 million In 2 equal installments beginning in April 2020.
For the fiscal year ending 31 January 2020Up to UI 2 millionIn 2 equal installments beginning in June 2020.
For the fiscal year ending 31 January 2020UI 2 million up to 6 million Entire balance in June 2020.
For the fiscal year ending 31 January 2020Over UI 6 million In 2 equal installments beginning in May 2020.
For the fiscal year ending 29 February 2020Up to UI 2 millionIn 2 equal installments beginning in July 2020.
For the fiscal year ending 29 February 2020UI 2 million up to 6 million Entire balance in July 2020.
For the fiscal year ending 29 February 2020Over UI 6 million In 2 equal installments beginning in June 2020.

For small taxpayers, the deadlines are 27 April, 25 May, 25 June, 27 July, and 26 August, depending on the month in which payment is due. For medium taxpayers, the deadlines are 22 April, 22 May, 22 June, 22 July, and 24 August.

The Resolution also provides the annual tax return deadlines for IRAE, IP, ICOSA, and also VAT (IVA), are extended to 25 May for small taxpayers and 22 May for medium taxpayers for the year ending 31 December 2019.
