The Ukraine–Canada Agreement on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters entered into force on 7 April 2026, enhancing cooperation against smuggling and illicit trade.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance has stated that the Agreement between Ukraine and Canada on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters entered into force on 7 April 2026.
Canada and Ukraine signed an agreement on mutual administrative assistance in customs matters on 24 August 2025.
The Agreement is also to help Ukraine and Canada more effectively combat smuggling and the illicit trade in weapons, narcotics, and other dangerous goods.
