Belgium’s Federal Public Service (FPS) Finance has extended the deadline for several tax returns and reporting obligations to 16 November 2026 following a cyberattack that disrupted its digital services, with the relief also covering filings that already had individual deadlines.
Belgium’s Federal Public Service (FPS) Finance has clarified, on 29 October 2026, which tax filings are covered by the deadline extension following a cyberattack that disrupted its services. The extension moves the deadline for specified tax returns, declarations and notifications to 16 November 2026.
Which filings are covered
The FPS Finance has published a notice that lists the returns included in the extension. The extension applies to every declaration that was not yet due on that date.
The covered filings include:
- Personal income tax returns for individuals with specific income
- Corporate income tax returns for companies whose financial year ends on 31 March 2026
- Pillar Two declarations, notifications and information reports
- Mandatory Disclosure Rules (MDR) and country-by-country reporting (CbCR) declarations
- Declarations for withholding tax on movable property
- Declarations for various other taxes
- Notifications under the TACT provisions, which target tax abuse
Filings with existing individual deadlines
The extension also covers any filing that already had an individual deadline granted. These taxpayers do not need a separate request to benefit from the change.
