Belgium’s FPS Finance has extended the tax return filing deadline to 16 November 2026 after a cyberattack disrupted online services, including MyMinfin. Authorities confirmed that no taxpayer data was accessed or disclosed.

Belgium’s Federal Public Service (FPS) Finance announced, on 29 October 2026, that it detected and stopped a cyberattack within hours on Tuesday, 27 October. As a result, the deadline for all tax returns due on or around 31 October 2026 has been extended until 16 November 2026.

The attack did not gain control of applications or access taxpayer data. Potentially compromised systems were isolated, temporarily disrupting online services, including MyMinfin.

The affected services are being restored in a secure environment.

The Federal Police and the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium have been notified to investigate the incident. No data has been disclosed.
