On 30 October 2019, the lower house of Parliament (Mazhilis) approved the ratification of the Multilateral Agreement on the Implementation of Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI). It was approved by the government on 11 October 2019. After completing the ratification procedures, Kazakhstan must deposit its instrument of ratification in order to put the MLI into force for its covered agreements (tax treaties).
