On 15 July 2020, the Egyptian Cabinet has approved a draft law for the ratification of the multilateral convention to implement tax treaty related measures to prevent BEPS (MLI). Egypt now has to deposit its instrument of ratification in order to put the MLI into force for its tax treaties. The MLI was signed by Egypt on 7 June 2017.
