The UAE and El Salvador have signed a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement alongside an investment protection agreement and a diplomatic cooperation memorandum during the UN General Assembly in New York.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and El Salvador have signed a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA), according to a 26 September 2026 press release from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The agreement was signed in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The DTAA was signed by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Alexandra Hill Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador.
The two countries also signed an agreement on the promotion and protection of investments and a memorandum of understanding on diplomatic cooperation.
