Taiwan’s Taipei National Taxation Bureau has opened applications for taxpayers to change their mailing address or opt out of the 114th annual individual income tax calculation service. The deadline for submissions is 16 March 2026.
Taiwan’s Taipei National Taxation Bureau, Ministry of Finance, has opened applications for supporting measures related to the 114th annual individual income tax return filing, scheduled for May 2026 (year 115). Taxpayers can submit requests between 15 February and 16 March 2026.
The Bureau said taxpayers can apply for the following:
- Change of mailing address for the tax calculation notice, which can only be requested by the taxpayer.
- Non-use of the tax calculation service starting from the 114th annual filing, which can be requested by the taxpayer, their spouse, or dependents.
Applications can be submitted online, by mail, fax, or in person at the tax office. Full details on procedures, required documents, and certificates are provided in the Bureau’s guidance table.
The Bureau emphasised that once a taxpayer opts out of the tax calculation service, there is no need to reapply in future years. Tax calculation notices and related forms will no longer be issued, and taxpayers must file their returns independently. Applications to reverse a prior opt-out are no longer accepted after 18 March 114.
Taxpayers are advised to act before the deadline to protect their rights. For inquiries, contact Section Chief Su at the Individual Income and Estate Tax Division on 2311-3711 ext. 1560.
