Switzerland signed tax information exchange agreements with Greenland and Andorra in March 2014. These accords provide for the exchange of information on request in respect of tax investigations. The conclusion of information exchange agreements is currently being encouraged by the OECD which is introducing new standards of tax transparency. The exchange of information is seen as an important tool in the fight against aggressive tax avoidance and tax evasion.
