Saudi Arabia has authorised the signing of a proposed tax treaty with Argentina to address double taxation on income and capital and strengthen measures against tax evasion and tax avoidance.
The Saudi Arabian Council of Ministers authorised the signing of an income and capital tax treaty with Argentina on 1 September 2026.
The proposed agreement aims to provide for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and capital, helping establish rules for the tax treatment of cross-border income and capital.
It also seeks to strengthen cooperation between the two countries to prevent tax evasion and tax avoidance, forming part of efforts to improve tax coordination and administration.
It must go through a process in both jurisdictions before it can enter into force.
