The agreement aims to eliminate double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion between Romania and Andorra.
Romania’s President Nicușor Dan signed Decree No. 1016/2025 on 29 October 2025, which promulgates Law No. 170/2025, ratifying Romania’s income and capital tax treaty with Andorra.
The agreement was signed on 27 September 2024. It aims to eliminate double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion between the two nations.
The treaty will take effect after both countries exchange ratification instruments and will apply from 1 January of the following year.
Earlier, the Romanian Senate approved the 2024 income and capital tax treaty with Andorra on 29 September 2025.
