Romania’s tax authority has commenced a pilot project aiming to ensure that medium sized businesses pay their tax arrears. Businesses are being contacted and given the options available for settling their liabilities. The intention is to eventually widen the scheme to the whole country from next year and to extend it to other types of taxpayer, provided that it is successful in recovering the unpaid tax.
