Qatar approves amendment to 2009 income tax treaty with Norway, following Norway’s parliamentary approval.
Qatar issued a decree on 13 November 2025 approving the amending protocol to its 2009 income tax treaty with Norway.
The protocol, signed on 4 September 2024, is the first amendment to the agreement.
It will take effect 30 days after ratification instruments are exchanged and apply from 1 January of the following year.
Earlier, Norway’s parliament approved the amending protocol to the 2009 income tax treaty with Qatar on 25 March 2025.
