Cyprus has extended the deadlines for global minimum tax returns, notifications, and top-up tax payments for fiscal years beginning between 31 December 2023 and 30 December 2024, allowing eligible taxpayers to file and pay without penalties, interest, or additional charges by the revised deadline.

The Cyprus Tax Department has announced an extension of the filing and payment deadlines under the Pillar Two global minimum tax rules for the first fiscal year, defined as a fiscal year commencing between 31 December 2023 and 30 December 2024. The extension applies to returns, notifications, and top-up tax payments.

No penalties, interest, or surcharges will be imposed, provided the filing or payment is completed by 30 November 2026.

This supplements its announcement of 15 June 2026 on the law ensuring a global minimum level of taxation for multinational enterprise groups and large-scale domestic groups.

The new date applies to:

  • GloBE information return (Form T.D. 336) & IIR return (Form T.D. 335)
  • Constituent entity notifications (Forms T.D. 332 & T.D. 334)
  • GIR notifications (Forms T.D. 331 & T.D. 333)
  • Payment of top-up tax due

The forms and supplementary guidance are available on the TFA website.
