Brazil has extended the deadline to 30 December 2026 for taxpayers to join tax settlement programmes under Transaction Notices No. 9 and No. 10 of 2026, giving individuals and companies more time to settle tax debts under the offered conditions and discounts.

Brazil’s tax authority, the Federal Revenue Service (RFB), announced on 3 November 2026 that it extended the deadline to join the tax transaction options set out in RFB Transaction Notice No. 9 and RFB Transaction Notice No. 10 of 2026.

Taxpayers now have until 30 December 2026 to apply.

The notices apply to tax credits the Federal Revenue Service manages. These include social security contributions and other levies paid through the Federal Revenue Collection Document (DARF). Taxpayers and the parties responsible for paying these amounts may use the offers.

The authority extended the period so more people and companies can study the conditions and finish their applications. Those with debts under administrative tax review can settle them under the discounts stated in the public notices.

What taxpayers gain

The extension gives taxpayers another opportunity to regularise their tax status with greater flexibility and planning. The benefits include settling debts under administrative review with discounts provided in public notices, simplifying the regularisation process, reducing tax litigation and resolving administrative disputes. It also provides greater predictability for the financial management of individuals and legal entities and helps taxpayers bring their tax affairs up to date with the tax administration.

The goal behind the policy

The tax transaction policy encourages agreed solutions to tax disputes. The authority aims to improve administrative efficiency and promote tax compliance, and the extension supports the recovery of tax credits.
