The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has announced the latest general interest charge (GIC) rates and shortfall interest charge (SIC) rates for the third quarter of the 2022-23 income year. The General Interest Charge (GIC) annual rate is 10.06% (previously 9.31%), while the Shortfall Interest Charge (SIC) annual rate is 6.06% (previously 5.31%) for the quarter beginning 1 January 2023.
