AGT announced that, effective 1 December 2025, companies that have failed to file tax returns for over 12 months will have their Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) numbers suspended.

Angola’s General Tax Administration (AGT) announced on 30 October 2025 that, in accordance with Article 13 of Presidential Decree No. 245/21 of 4 October, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 87/25 of 22 April, the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) numbers of companies that have not filed any tax returns for more than twelve (12) months will be suspended as of 1 December 2025.

In line with legal requirements, companies subject to this measure will be notified by public notice at their respective Tax Offices.

To prevent the suspension of their CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID), companies must regularise their tax situation by 30 November 2025.

This includes submitting all outstanding tax returns and paying any overdue taxes through the Taxpayer Portal (https://portaldocontribuinte.minfin.gov.ao).

The suspension of the Tax Identification Number (NIF) entails several consequences, including the inability to conduct commercial activities; prohibition from carrying out acts with public or private entities; and restrictions on the use of the NIF for any legal purpose, such as banking operations, import activities, participation in public tenders, and receipt of payments, among others.

Companies may verify whether they are subject to this measure via the Taxpayer Portal by navigating to Services → Taxpayer Registration → CPF Inquiry, where they can check the status of their registration and their respective tax situation.
