Turkey and El Salvador have signed an income tax treaty, which will enter into force after the two countries exchange their instruments of ratification.

Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Turkey and El Salvador signed an income tax treaty during Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s participation in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, which took place from 21 to 27 September 2026.

The income tax agreement between the two countries aims to prevent double taxation and avoid fiscal evasion regarding taxes on income.
