Belarus has formally ratified an income tax treaty with Jordan, clearing the way for residents of both nations to avoid double taxation on profits and personal income. The Belarusian President signed the agreement on 25 May 2026, following parliamentary approval earlier that month.Â

Signed on 16 December 2025, this treaty is aimed at preventing double taxation and facilitating economic cooperation between the nations.
The agreement is also aimed at eliminating double taxation for residents of both countries on income and profit taxes, personal income tax, delineating the jurisdictions of the parties in tax collection, and establishing obligations for information exchange between tax authorities.
It will enter into force after the exchange of ratification instruments.
Earlier, the Belarus Council of the Republic (upper house of the National Assembly) approved the ratification of the income tax treaty with Jordan on 11 May 2026.
