Kazakhstan has opened public consultation on a draft resolution to amend its 2001 tax treaty with Norway, with comments due by 25 February 2026.
The government of Kazakhstan published a draft resolution on 10 February 2026 for consultation on a protocol to amend its 2001 income and capital tax treaty with Norway.
The draft was released through the Republic of Kazakhstan’s official Open Legal Acts portal, a digital platform designed to promote transparency and public participation in lawmaking. The portal organizes draft regulations and government documents by sector, agency, and region, covering areas such as finance, education, and healthcare.
The protocol aims to strengthen provisions that prevent double taxation and address tax evasion. Citizens, businesses, and organizations can review the draft online, track its progress, and submit comments directly through the portal.
Public feedback will be accepted until 25 February 2026.
