Costa Rica’s Tax Administration (DGT) and Drug Institute (ICD) published Joint Resolution No. MH-DGT-RES-0006-2025/icd-DG-0032-2025 in the Official Gazette on 9 May 2025 whicht establishes a transitional provision for specific non-profit organisations (OSFL) that must file annual RTBF returns every April.

The Joint Resolution grants OSFL entities an extension to file their 2025 RTBF return, moving the deadline from 1 July to 31 July 2025. This applies to entities updating or registering their legal representatives with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security during the first quarter of 2025.

The change addresses system limitations that prevent unregistered representatives from being included in the RTBF platform during the regular April filing period.

The Joint Resolution went into effect after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Joint Resolution No. MH-DGT-RES-0006-2025/icd-DG-0032-2025 amends Joint Resolution No. MH-DGT-RES-0020-2024/DG-336-2024 on the Beneficial Ownership Registry (RTBF).
