Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) initiated a public consultation on 11 November 2024 to change the regulations governing the monitoring of cross-border business transactions.
The state revenue authorities of Kazakhstan monitor transactions by observing the prices applied by participants in transactions on international business operations.
The proposed amendments aim to align the rules from MoF Order No. 176 of 16 March 2015 with updates introduced in Article 6 of the Transfer Pricing Law (2 April 2024). Accordingly, cross-border business transactions must be monitored regardless of the goods, works, or services as listed in MoF Order No. 194 of 19 March 2015.
The consultation is set to conclude on 25 November 2024.
