The Economy and Budget Planning Minister said that facilities for EXPO-2017 held in Astana city will be free from tax. The Minister declared that the tax Code is being amended regarding not the liability of national companies from corporate income, land and property tax. These changes are essential to fulfill commitments within the contest among the candidate countries for holding EXPO- 2017. Moreover, a technical dossier envisages that the construction of EXPO-2017 facilities will be exempt from corporate income tax and tax on property and land.

The Minister also said that organizations involved in the design and construction of the exhibition facilities may be exempted from corporate income tax. A list of eligible companies will be drawn up by the government.
