On 31 August 2020, Government Officially published Resolution SNAT/2020/00057, which introduces exemption from weekly VAT return or VAT payment obligations, weekly VAT withholding returns for large taxpayers in response to COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, on 26 August 2020, the President stated that Government has approved aid measures for small businesses, including new small businesses created amid pandemic and up to three months after are granted an exemption from income tax until 31 December 2020. Additionally, VAT relief is provided for large companies. Note that, weekly requirements for large businesses for VAT withholding returns and advance income tax returns are also changed to every two weeks.
