On 26 October 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine decided to reduce its key policy rate from 20% to 16% per annum with effect from 27 October 2023. The interest rate has a tax effect on the late tax payment interest and penalties which is equal to 120% of the National Bank rate and which reduces the penalty interest rate from 24% to 19.2% per annum.
