The UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy announced yesterday, 20 May 2025, that the UK government has suspended negotiations for a new free trade agreement with Israel.
This decision was made in response to Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza.
Foreign Secretary Lammy also announced that additional sanctions will be imposed on illegal Israeli settler outposts in the occupied West Bank. He also confirmed that Israel’s ambassador to the UK had been summoned to the Foreign Office.
