In order to improve and simplify the tax system, the government of UK declared two new projects as part of its ongoing work, to review pensioner taxation and employee share schemes. On 13 July 2011 the government has confirmed that the UK’s Office of Tax Simplification (OTS) is working on those two new projects.
According to this declaration the employee share schemes project will initially examine the four tax advantaged schemes to identify the bottlenecks and cases where unnecessary administrative burdens are provided on their users. Afterwards, they will suggest ways to simplify the whole procedure.
