The US exempted 100+ Peruvian agricultural products from tariffs, boosting exports and easing grocery costs.
Peru’s Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister, Teresa Mera, announced that the US has exempted more than 100 Peruvian agricultural products from tariffs.
The move is part of a broader rollback under President Donald Trump, which removed tariffs on over 200 food items, including coffee, beef, bananas, and orange juice.
The exemption aims to ease rising grocery costs in the US while boosting the competitiveness of Peruvian agricultural exports. The Peruvian government welcomed the decision as a positive step for trade relations and the country’s export sector.
