Switzerland and Zimbabwe signed a new income and capital tax treaty to strengthen economic and tax cooperation.

The Swiss Federal Council has approved the dispatch for a new income and capital tax treaty with Zimbabwe.

Switzerland and Zimbabwe signed the agreement on 19 March 2025, aiming to strengthen bilateral economic relations and enhance tax cooperation. It eliminates double taxation and prevents tax evasion between the two nations.

It will come into effect after the exchange of ratification instruments and will apply from 1 January of the following year.
