A Legislation passed by the Swedish Riksdag which will enable companies with personnel working with research or development (R&D) to reduce their employer social security costs. A potential savings in employer social security costs of approximately SEK 230,000 per month for the companies which will qualify for this relief.
The new provisions are effective from 1 January 2014, and will be applied with respect to compensation paid after 31 December 2013.
