Sri Lanka and UAE have reached an agreement on investment protection (IPA) agreement during the World Governments Summit in Dubai.

This announcement was made by the Sri Lankan President’s media division on 13 February 2025.

The agreement was signed by Mohamed Bin Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE’s Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Vijitha Herath, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

This agreement will reinforce the long-term partnership between the UAE and Sri Lanka, facilitating sustainable investments and advancing trade and financial collaborations between the two countries.

Earlier, Sri Lanka and UAE finalised an agreement on reciprocal promotion and protection of investments between the two countries.
