Notice of submission of request for approval of a questionnaire to the Office of Management And Budget (OMB). This notice is being given pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act Of 1995. U.S.-EU safe harbor framework self-certification notice:
The International Trade Administration (ITA) issues this notice regarding the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework (U.S.-EU Safe Harbor). As of August 1, 2016, the Department of Commerce no longer allows new submissions of self-certification to the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor. From October 31, 2016, the Department of Commerce will no longer accept re-certification submissions to the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor. See Details
Notice of the 2016/2017 annual GSP product and country practices review:
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is prepared to receive petitions to modify the list of articles that are eligible for duty-free treatment under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program and to modify the GSP status of certain GSP beneficiary developing countries because of country practices. USTR also is prepared to receive petitions requesting waivers of competitive need limitations (CNLs). In addition, USTR is seeking public comments and will convene a public hearing to receive additional information and stakeholder views regarding the potential addition of travel and luggage goods products for more economically advanced GSP beneficiary countries. Import restrictions on archaeological and ethnological material of Syria:
This document amends the CBP regulations to reflect the imposition of import restrictions on archaeological and ethnological material of Syria pursuant to the Protect and Preserve International Cultural Property Act. It also  contains the designated list of archaeological and ethnological material of Syria that describes the types of objects or categories of archaeological or ethnological material that are subject to import restrictions, if unlawfully removed from Syria on or after March 15, 2011. ITC USITC launches Import Monitoring Tool:
The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) launched its new Import Monitoring Tool, a web-based interface that allows the public to more easily monitor changes in U.S. imports. The purpose of the tool is to allow users to assess whether data concerning imports have changed over a period of time. See Details
CBP Trade Advisory Committee meets in Boston:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner lauded CBP’s trade transformation and industry collaboration at a recent meeting of the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee in Boston. The July 27 meeting covered trade enforcement; intellectual property rights; antidumping and countervailing duties; the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program; the Automated Commercial Environment cargo processing system, or ACE; and the Single Window concept. FERC Implementation guide for electronic tariff filing:
This implementation guide is for use by entities required to submit tariffs, rate schedules, and service agreements together with supporting documentation to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) pursuant to Title 18 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 35, 154, 284, 300, 341 or other Parts as required by FERC. Filings which historically were submitted in hard copy should be submitted electronically according to the guidelines. See Details
