Oman and Rwanda signed their first income tax treaty on 8 September 2026 to eliminate double taxation with respect to taxes on income and prevent tax evasion and avoidance, strengthening bilateral tax and economic cooperation.
Oman and Rwanda signed an agreement on income tax treaty with respect to taxes on income and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance on 8 September 2026, strengthening tax and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement, which marked the first income tax treaty between Oman and Rwanda, was signed by Oman’s Minister of Finance, Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, and Rwanda’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Yusuf Murangwa.
It aims to support bilateral trade and investment relations while establishing a framework for addressing double taxation.
The treaty will enter into force after the two countries exchange their ratification instruments.
