Each year the OECD makes available statistics on the mutual agreement procedure (MAP) cases in member countries and in some other partner economies that make these statistics available. The statistics for the 2012 reporting periods have now been made available. The non-OECD partner economies reporting their statistics were Argentina and South Africa.
The number of open MAP cases open at the end of the 2012 reporting period in the countries reporting their statistics was 4,061, this being an increase of 5.8% compared to the previous period. The average time taken to complete each MAP case in the OECD countries that reported their statistics was 23.2 months in 2012, compared to 25.39 in 2011.
