The tax department of New Zealand released a report that endorses measures outlined by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) action plan to deal with the taxation of large multinational corporations and the problems of base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) on 25 October 2013. The action plan drawn up by the OECD for the G20 group of countries includes measures in respect of transfer pricing, thin capitalization, controlled foreign companies, hybrid entities and financial instruments, exchange of tax information, taxing the digital economy and other issues.
