Mexico has published the updated daily, monthly, and annual values of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) for 2026, effective from 1 February 2026, based on the annual inflation rate. 

Mexico has gazetted the values of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) for 2026 on 9 January 2026.

The UMA is a key reference used in Mexico to calculate various administrative and fiscal obligations, including fines, fees, and social security contributions. The UMA values are updated annually using a prescribed inflation-based method.

Following the annual adjustment, the following UMA values will apply from 1 February 2026

  • Daily UMA: MXN 117.31 (previously MXN 113.14)
  • Monthly UMA: MXN 3,566.22 (previously MXN 3,439.46)
  • Annual UMA: MXN 42,794.64 (previously MXN 41,273.52)

The previous UMA values for the period 1 February 2025 to 31 January 2026 were announced on 10 January 2025.
