On 1 August 2019, the multilateral convention to implement tax treaty related measures to prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (Multilateral Instrument or MLI) entered into force in respect of Luxembourg. MLI provisions that affect withholding taxes will apply as from 1 January 2020 and other taxes from 1 February 2020.
