Lithuania has proposed restarting negotiations on a double taxation avoidance agreement with Thailand by updating a 2008 draft to reflect current international tax standards.
Lithuania has invited Thailand to resume negotiations on a Lithuania, Thailand double taxation avoidance agreement, with plans to update a draft prepared in 2008 in line with current international tax standards.
The proposal was made by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kฤstutis Budrys during a 27 July meeting with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. The minister said an updated agreement would create more favourable conditions for trade and investment between the two countries.
The discussions formed part of broader talks on bilateral relations, economic and technological cooperation, and Lithuania’s support for Thailand’s ambition to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) by 2028.
