Officials from Liechtenstein and Vietnam met to discuss bilateral cooperation with Liechtenstein expressing interest in negotiating and signing an income tax treaty on 22 January 2025.
Liechtenstein Prime Minister Daniel Risch expressed his gratitude to Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for dedicating time to discuss the bilateral relationship and reiterated his commitment to strengthening ties with Vietnam.
Prime Minister Daniel Risch highlighted the many similarities between the two countries that can strengthen cooperation, noting that both have experienced significant GDP growth driven by industrialisation, with industrial production contributing around 40% to each nation’s GDP. He also mentioned that many Liechtenstein businesses are keenly interested in the Vietnamese market.
