On 1st October 2013 the Latvian government approved the national budget for 2014 with the budget deficit planned at up to 0.9 percent of GDP. Revenues to the central government consolidated budget next year are planned at 7.004 billion Euros and expenditure at 7.143 billion Euros.
The planned revenues in the central government consolidated budget in 2014 are 341.9 million Euros or 5.1 percent higher than in the 2013 budget, and expenditure will be 288.9 million Euros or 4.2 percent higher.
Revenues to the central government basic budget are planned at 5.007 billion Euros in 2014, up 5.6 percent compared to 2013, and expenditure is estimated at 5.275 billion Euros or 8.7 percent higher.
The planned revenues to the central government special budget next year are 2.206 billion Euros or by 13 percent higher than in 2013, and the planned expenditure amount is 2.076 billion Euros, up 2.4 percent.
