Comments are due by 23 July 2025.
Kenya’s National Treasury announced on 23 June 2025 that it is consulting on a proposed income tax treaty with Japan.
Any resulting agreement will be the first treaty between the two countries and aims to eliminate double taxation concerning taxes on income and prevent tax evasion and avoidance between Kenya and Japan.
The treaty requires finalisation, signing, and ratification to take effect.
The deadline for sending comments is 23 July 2025.
