On 2 April 2020, the Government implemented some measures for coronavirus outbreak. These are:

Corporate income tax

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the submission of corporate income tax return is extended to 30 April 2020.

Small and medium enterprises

Amid COVID-19 pandemic, some tax relief measures for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are also implemented. The accrual and payment of payroll taxes and other related payments for small and medium businesses operating in catering, individual trade sectors, transport services, consulting services, IT sector, hotel business, tourism, and certain others have been suspended from 1 April to 1 October 2020. Again, a deferral to 1 June 2020 for all tax payments and social security contributions, a suspension of the enforcement of tax collection procedures for outstanding obligations up to 1 June 2020 and the suspension of tax audits during the state of emergency period have implemented for SMEs.

Individual income tax

The deadline of individual income tax return is extended to 30 April 2020 for the coronavirus outbreak.

VAT

Proposed 8% VAT rate on the sale and import of goods included in a list of socially essential food products.
