The Lower House of Parliament approved the pending protocol to the 1996 income tax treaty on September 6, 2017 with India for avoiding double taxation. This protocol was signed on January 6, 2017 and includes several amendments, including changes relating to the mutual agreement procedure, exchange of information, limitation on benefits, and other areas.
