Japan and Iran’s Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement entered into force on 18 June 2025, following its signing on 22 August 2021.
The Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement (CMAA) between Japan and Iran entered into force on 18 June 2025.
This announcement was made by Japan’s Ministry of Finance on the same day.
The agreement was originally signed on 22 August 2021 and generally applies from the date it became effective.
The CMAA facilitates cooperation and information exchange between the two countries’ customs authorities to prevent, investigate, and combat customs offences.
