For 2025, Italian banking foundations will receive a tax credit of 18.1982% on their contributions to the National Single Fund (FUN).

Italy’s Revenue Agency has announced that banking foundations will receive a tax credit of 18.1982% for 2025 through the provision of 3 December 2025.

The rate was calculated based on the ratio of available resources, equal to EUR 10 million, to the total amount of payments made by the foundations to the National Single Fund by 31 October 2025, which reached almost EUR 55 million.

The National Single Fund (FUN), established under the Third Sector Code, is the primary source of funding for Volunteer Service Centers, which provide essential support, training, and operational tools to associations across Italy. Foundations are required to contribute annually to the FUN and, in return, receive a tax credit proportional to their payments.

Although each foundation can recover only a portion of its contributions, the system ensures the full utilization of the allocated funds, securing continuous support for Volunteer Service Centers, a cornerstone of Italy’s Third Sector and civil society.
