Hungary has become the 61st jurisdiction to sign the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s multilateral treaty on multilateral tax assistance. This can be considered as a step of Hungary to its fight against cross-border tax evasion and avoidance.

Hungary’s Minister of State for Taxation and Financial Policy Affairs signed the Multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters on 12 November 2013 during a ceremony at the OECD in Paris.
