The number of voluntary tax declarations received by the German tax authorities submitted by German residents so far this year is already more than doubles the 2012 total.
It has been reported by the business newspaper Handelsblatt based on statistics from a survey of federal state finance ministries in Germany that 20,000 voluntary declarations had been filed as at the end of October 2013.
German tax experts therefore estimate that the number of voluntary declarations submitted to the German tax authorities will continue to increase until end-December 2013.
