The Germany Cabinet on December 3, 2014 has approved measures on allowing a tax break for purchasing electric vehicle as company cars. The government of Germany has aimed to have one million electric cars on its roads by 2020 to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 62-78 million tons by 2020, representing a 40 percent reduction from 1990 levels. The measures will be approved by Parliament before they can become law.
