The European Union (EU) and three of Russia’s neighbors signed sweeping trade-and-political agreements that will ultimately eliminate tariff barriers to trade.

The deals with Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova which will provide for a deep and comprehensive free trade area, and will ensure the progressive elimination of custom tariffs and quotas, and harmonize law, norms and regulations in different trade related sectors. The agreement will enter into force after both the EU and respective partner countries have fulfilled the required procedures.
