On 19 June 2018, the Directorate General of Internal Revenue (DGII) issued Guide No. 24 for individuals and legal entities wishing to qualify for the simplified tax procedure (PST). The Simplified Tax Procedure (PST) is a special regime that facilitates the tax compliance of medium and small taxpayers, whether legal entities or individuals.

The method also allows taxpayers to settle the Income Tax (ISR), based on your purchases and / or income, as well as paying the Tax on Transfers of Industrialized Goods and Services (ITBIS) based on the gross added value.

The guide No.24 covers the following issues:

  • Definition of the Simplified Tax Procedure and qualifying the tax subjects (i.e. taxpayers).
  • Method and requirements for PST application and PST compliance duties.
